Cosmic Neko

OBJECTIVE

Cosmic Neko is an apparel brand inspired by Japanese culture, with “Neko” meaning cat in Japanese. Targeted at a young audience aged 15
to 35, the brand embraces cuteness, pastel aesthetics, and a love for cats. It also promotes inclusivity, celebrating diversity and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. The goal was to create a cohesive visual identity, including a logo, color palette, typography, and branded materials such as business cards and letterheads.

PROCESS

The design drew inspiration from the playful charm of Japanese aesthetics and the soft, whimsical nature of cats. The logo features a stylized cat paired with a bold, calligraphic typeface for “Cosmic Neko.” A pastel color palette was chosen to convey warmth and friendliness, while collateral materials were designed to maintain cohesion and appeal to the brand’s youthful, design-savvy audience.
